Product Description

In this work we explore the fraught relationship between the brand Supreme and the work of Barbara Kruger. When this is merged with the connection and the success of the feminist heroes of art and music what emerges is a confident and powerful image with a relevant message to all: Stop in the name of love.

The Supremes were an American female singing group and a premier act of Motown Records during the 1960s. The Supremes were the most commercially successful of Motown's acts and are, to date, America's most successful vocal group with 12 number one singles on the Billboard Hot 100.

Barbara Kruger (born January 26, 1945) is an American conceptual artist and collagist. Most of her work consists of black-and-white photographs, overlaid with declarative captions, stated in white-on-red Futura Bold Oblique or Helvetica Ultra Condensed text. The phrases in her works address cultural constructions of power, identity, and sexuality.

James Jebbia (born July 22, 1963) is an American-English businessman and fashion designer. Jebbia is known for being the founder of the skateboarding shop and clothing brand Supreme New York.
